Anthony Ostroff letter to Louis Untermeyer, and poems, 1968 July 29.

Ostroff writes to Untermeyer, 29 July 1968, imparting news of his family vacation, his disappointment at Doubleday rejecting a manuscript called The Dandy, and asks after Bryan's project. In a post script dated 1 Aug., he describes his son's birthday adventure, and encloses revised typescript photocopies of three poems - Federal district, On the beach, and Lake Chapala. With cancelled envelope.

Anthony Ostroff was an American scholar, educator, critic, and poet. He served in World War II, was educated at several premier universities, and taught poetry and rhetoric, notably at Berkeley. He published poems, fiction, and essays in a variety of journals, as well as several monographs. He was an active member of the ACLU, and worked with several anti-war organizations.
